
Combat Parkinson’s Rigidity Neck and Arms

If you have Parkinson’s disease, you will be experiencing rigidity. Rigidity is the difficulty of moving certain parts of your body. In Parkinson’s disease this can be described as cogwheel rigidity.
When you have rigidity, whether you have Parkinson’s disease or not, it will affect your movements and ability to do your daily tasks. Occupational therapist will teach you on how to move more fluidly, efficiently and safely.
We need to combat this by stretching.
In this video we will be stretching our neck and our arms.
The home exercises included in this video are:
1. Neck flexion and extension
2. Head turning
3. Chest and shoulder stretch
4. Wrist flexion and extension stretch
5. Arm flicking
