LeahJSRune Labs has launched StrivePD Guardian, a personalized care service designed to help Parkinson’s disease patients manage their condition more effectively by combining expert coaching with AI-driven health monitoring. The program pairs the StrivePD mobile app with an Apple Watch, offering continuous monitoring of symptoms and daily routines. The data collected helps optimize care between doctor visits, providing patients with expert coaching and actionable insights.
StrivePD Guardian aims to address the gap in care between infrequent doctor visits by providing patients with AI-driven insights and personalized coaching to improve symptom management. The service collects data on symptoms, medication effectiveness, daily activities, and more, enabling patients and their healthcare teams to make informed decisions. It also offers proactive risk management through alerts for potential high-risk events, like falls or disease complications.
A pilot study with 138 participants showed significant benefits, including a 42% reduction in emergency room visits, less time spent with specialists, and improved exercise levels and medication adherence. Users, like Keith Narasaki, have found the service beneficial in following exercise plans, stabilizing symptoms, and maintaining better control over their movements.
