Parkinson's Speech Warm-Up: Belly Breaths, Speech Pacing & Controlling Loudness

April 21, 2023

It's important to warm up your respiratory (breathing), phonatory (voicing) and articulatory (mouth) muscles prior to doing your Parkinson's voice exercises. Powering your strong voice from a deep belly breath ensures that you are able to project your voice without straining or pushing. Those vocal folds are very delicate! Join SLP Sarah as she leads you through a six minute warm up including diaphragmatic breaths, speech pacing for better fluency and articulation exercises.
