BlueRock’s Groundbreaking Parkinson’s Trial Is Recruiting – Could You Be a Candidate?
May 21, 2025
After the exciting success of their Phase 1 trial, BlueRock Therapeutics is moving full steam ahead into Phase 3 of their stem cell-based therapy for Parkinson’s – and they’re looking for participants!
The new trial, named exPDite-2, will enrol 102 people across the United States and Canada. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of the most promising Parkinson’s studies out there – testing a therapy designed to replace the dopamine-producing brain cells lost to the disease.
How Do I Know If I Might Qualify?
To get started, you’ll need to fill out a short questionnaire. It takes just a few minutes, and it’ll help determine whether you or your loved one might be eligible to take part in the study.
What Happens Next?
Once you’ve answered all the questions, you’ll find out immediately whether you may be eligible. If you are, your details will be sent to the nearest study location, and an exPDite-2 team member will reach out to set up an appointment. (This may take a little time – please be patient!) If you don’t hear from them, you can always follow up or wait for a callback from the support team.
Have questions? You can speak directly with the exPDite-2 team by calling 877-380-3967.
Who Might Be Eligible to Join the Trial?
Here are some of the key criteria from the screening form. You’ll be asked:
Were you diagnosed with Parkinson’s between 4 and 12 years ago?
Are you between 45 and 75 years old?
Are you currently taking levodopa-based medication (like Sinemet)?
Do you take your levodopa medication at least three times a day?
Do you have more than 2.5 hours of “off” time each day?
Have you had Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)?
Have you ever been diagnosed with epilepsy, stroke, or multiple sclerosis?
Are you allergic to sulfa-based medications (like Bactrim)?
You’ll also be asked to select the study location that’s most convenient for you.
⚠️ Please remember: your submission won’t be complete until you hit “Submit” at the end of the questionnaire.
This could be a powerful opportunity to be part of the future of Parkinson’s treatment. If you meet the eligibility criteria and are located in the US or Canada, take a few minutes to see if the exPDite-2 study might be right for you.
Let’s keep moving forward – together.
