Norton Neuroscience Institute introduces cutting-edge Parkinson's treatment

Louisville’s Norton Neuroscience Institute is the first and only facility in Kentucky to offer an innovative treatment for essential tremor and tremor-dominant Parkinson’s disease using MRI-guided, high-frequency focused ultrasound. Funded by a $2.8 million grant from the Norton Healthcare Foundation, this cutting-edge procedure creates a targeted lesion in the brain to improve tremor control, with benefits seen immediately after treatment.
