An Invitation to Tell Us Your Stories About Exercising with Parkinson's Disease
January 29, 2025
LeahJSWe would like to invite you to participate in a study called People’s Stories about Exercising with Parkinson’s Disease. This study has been approved by the Trent Research Ethics Board (File #: 29437).
This study is being conducted by Trent University student Ms. Maizie Schwets and Professor Liana Brown, Psychology and Kinesiology. They are curious about people’s day-to-day stories about how exercise affects your experience of Parkinson’s.
Maizie and Liana would like to interview people who have been diagnosed with PD and who exercise with purpose at least three times per week. They will arrange an appointment with you at a convenient time; the interview will take about 90 minutes. The interview can be conducted in person (parking at Trent will be covered) or over Zoom. In both cases, your participation will be acknowledged with a gift card for a free coffee.
If you are interested in learning more, you can reach Maizie and Liana at maizieschwets@trentu.ca or lianabrown@trentu.ca. They are happy to answer any and all of your questions and will send you their full letter of information and consent. Thank you for considering this request.
