Cyrano Therapeutics is supporting a clinical study led by neurologist Dr. David Silvers in Florida to evaluate CYR-064, a nasal spray therapy designed to restore smell in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. The study aims to enroll 15–20 participants aged 18–80 with moderate to severe smell loss and will assess the safety, feasibility, and effectiveness of CYR-064 over a 24-week treatment period. Smell loss, a common and early symptom affecting about 95% of Parkinson’s patients, impacts quality of life, taste perception, and nutritional health. CYR-064 delivers a medicine called theophylline using targeted nasal spray technology, avoiding systemic side effects. Cyrano Therapeutics is also conducting a larger Phase 2 trial to evaluate CYR-064 for post-viral smell loss, with results expected later this year.
